Successful development of the company, establishment as a manufacturer of flexible containers for use in human and veterinary medicine.
1999 - 2000
Foundation of Hegewald Medizinprodukte GmbH and management takeover by Robert Hegewald.
New investments in buildings and facilities at new site Gutsweg 1 in Lichtenberg.
2000 - 2006
Investment in state-of-the-art machinery for bag production at the new site. Certification by MedCert® Hamburg in 2002.
Continuous expansion of product range. Setup of a QS testing laboratory. Development of own products.

2006 - 2008
Specialisation in bag and tube systems for parenteral nutrition. Establishment and expansion of bag and tube systems production for biotech industry.
Doubling of production capacities.
2011
Robert Hegewald founds Hemedis GmbH which is now responsible for the distribution of its own developed products to hospital and university pharmacies, pharmacies and manufacturing companies.
2012 - 2016
Acquisition and automation of production facilities as well as advanced equipment for in-house tool shop.
Increased quality standards by improving cleanrooms, equipment and processes.
2013
Development of the world's first TPN compounder "MIBMIX® C12" with 12 physical channels.
2014
Participation of Hemedis GmbH in its first international trade fair "Arab Health" in Dubai (UAE) and establishment of worldwide business relations.
2015
Hemedis GmbH moves to new location at Forstweg 8 in Weißenborn.
2017 - 2020
Planning, construction and implementation of new cleanrooms at Forstweg 8 in Weißenborn.
Manufacturing capacities double again.
2019
Opening of new logistics centre at Frauensteiner Straße 33a in Weißenborn.

Today, more than 150 employees work in the two companies. We are very well equipped to develop, manufacture and distribute medical devices. With over 30 years of experience, several modern sites, certification in accordance with the Medical Device Regulation (MDR), our own patents and brands as well as very well-established, innovative products and services, we are fit for the future.
